Meet The Maker...
My name is Michelle. I'm a Mama of 3 girls (16, 13 & 11), lover of yoga, hiking and home cooked meals. I’m all about being myself and what you see is what you get. I’m a tea addict who tries to spend my mornings in a few moments of peace journaling. On the weekends, you’ll find me on the soccer field cheering my girls on.
Canadian girl who grew up in Toronto and traded it in for a suburban life.
Growing up, my family always had a love for parties and celebrations. They would look for any excuse to throw a party! As a child, I always looked forward to the excitement, the music and food! It was something that I always knew I wanted to pass onto my girls.
16 years ago (when I had my first), many of these stylish decorations simply did not exist. Whenever there was a birthday to celebrate in our family, I would spend days leading up to the event creating all the decorations by hand. For years, our friends and family kept pushing me to open my very own shop.
At the time, I was a District Manager at Kitchen Stuff Plus and believe I gained so much information to help me build my business. Once on mat leave, I had more time to create and design new pieces. I wanted more though.
Thankfully, I’m married to an amazing man who pushed me to take the plunge and North of Nine Designs was born. Creating unique decor to celebrate events has become my pursuit. I’m thrilled to be here and to able to share my designs with all of you!
My goal is to create personalized pieces, that will inspire you and your loved ones to celebrated life and every milestone in between, together.
